Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Odds48 ("Odds48," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you use odds48.com, the ODDS48 iOS and Android apps, and related features (the "Service"). Contact info@odds48.com for privacy questions.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide for your account, optional community participation, and records needed to operate and secure the Service.

• Account information: your email address. If you create an account with email and password, Odds48 stores a secure password hash rather than the readable password.
• Connected sign-in information: if you use Google or Apple sign-in, the provider identifier and verified email address returned with your authorization. Those providers handle your information under their own privacy terms.
• Operational account records: an internal user identifier, verification status, hashed email-verification and password-reset tokens, token expiration times, session records, and security-related request information.
• Technical and usage information: requests, timestamps, response status, request identifiers, device names supplied with mobile sessions, and diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the Service. Consented website analytics can additionally process browser/device information, referral information and approximate location derived from network information. The native apps do not request GPS location for these features.
• Preferences: your timezone, odds format, followed games and leagues, score-feed preferences and other settings you choose.
• Communications: information you provide if you contact us.
• Community content: your chosen username (or generated display name), chat messages, author identifier and posting times. Your display name and messages are visible to other chat participants; your email is not displayed with chat posts.
• Safety records: report identifiers, reporter and reported account identifiers, message identifier, a snapshot of the reported message, selected reason, review status and report time; blocked-user relationships and creation times; accepted chat-rules version and acceptance time; and chat posting restrictions. Reports, block lists and acceptance records are not displayed publicly. Authorized operators use them to investigate abuse and enforce the rules.

3. How we use information

We use email and related operational records to provide and secure accounts, authenticate users, and send verification, security, and password-reset messages. We use chat and safety records to display conversations, honor your blocks, screen prohibited content, investigate reports and restrict abusive posting. Followed games, leagues and preferences personalize your score feed. We use consented website usage data for analytics. We do not use customer data for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or use it to personalize betting recommendations.

Odds48 does not send a user’s email address to Google Analytics as an analytics identifier. Analytics is enabled only after the visitor approves analytics cookies.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent where requested, and compliance with law.

4. Cookies and local storage

Odds48 uses essential cookies for consent status, sign-in, account security, and timezone preferences. With your approval, it uses Google Analytics cookies or similar identifiers to measure visits and usage. Google may process device, browser, page, referral, and approximate-location information under its own privacy terms.

You can accept or reject analytics with equal controls in the cookie notice and change the choice later through “Cookie Settings” in the footer. Analytics remains disabled unless approved. See the Cookie Policy for details.

The native apps store sign-in credentials such as refresh tokens and a cached account profile in operating-system secure storage to keep you signed in. Website analytics-cookie controls apply to the website, not an analytics SDK embedded in the native apps.

5. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it only as reasonably necessary to:

• vendors that provide hosting, databases, authentication, analytics, email delivery, security, and technical support under appropriate obligations;
• Google or Apple when you choose their sign-in service;
• comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests; protect rights, safety, and security; or investigate abuse; and
• complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

Third-party websites linked from Odds48 have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing them information.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including account operation, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by data type and legal need. Expired session and recovery records are deleted or made unusable according to operational schedules.

Chat messages remain until removed through moderation or account deletion. Report snapshots may remain after a message is removed so an operator can review the report; marking a report resolved does not automatically delete it. Blocking records remain until unblocked or either account is deleted. Chat acceptance and restriction records remain with the account. Our account-deletion process removes the account, its messages, reports involving that account, blocks involving that account, sessions, followed games and leagues, and score-feed preferences from the active database. Operational logs and backups may persist under their separate retention schedules and are not necessarily erased immediately; they are restricted to operational, security and recovery purposes.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a privacy decision. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Use Menu → Settings → Delete my Account in the mobile app to delete your account, or email info@odds48.com to request account and associated data deletion without installing the app. For access, correction or other privacy requests, use the same email. We may need to verify account ownership; never send your password. Any legally required retention will be explained where applicable.

9. International processing

The Service and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact Odds48 through an official channel so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, or our practices. We will post the revised Policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
